2019/20 Start of School

FAQs

When will we know our teachers and classroom locations?

The week before school begins you will receive a letter in the mail that includes your child’s teacher and room number as well as details about the first day of school.  Included in this letter will be  information from our Franklin PTA.

What is the schedule for the first few weeks of school?

What does my child need for school?

Children will need a backpack, snack and lunch (except on minimum days). They might also want to bring a water bottle & wear sunscreen. All supplies/materials are provided by the school site.

What are the Drop off & Pick up Procedures?

There is no parking for parents on the school car park at drop off or pick up. The drop-off zone is the only place that students can be dropped off on campus. We strongly encourage you to walk to school, or park away from campus and walk in to avoid congestion and frustration. Staff members are there each day to facilitate this process.

How do I get onto campus during the day?

We take the safety of our students very seriously in the Burlingame School District. This is why we have a locked campus during the school day. In order to gain access to the campus, you will have to buzz in at the entrance to the school. You will be asked to identify yourself and the reason for your visit. When you are admitted, please go straight to the school office and sign in, when you leave please also inform the office. This allows us to monitor all visitors to the campus, and to ensure that in an emergency we have a comprehensive record of all people that need to be accounted for.
